Loyola tracks sets two records in Golden Eagle Classic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Loyola University New Orleans track team broke two program records in the Golden Eagle Classic on Saturday at the Marshall Bell Track and Field Complex on the campus of Southern Miss.

Lauren Fincher broke her own record in the 400 meter hurdles at 1:10.22 while the 4x400 men’s relay team broke their mark with a 3:38.6. The four-man squad consists of Neal Outland, Kenny Tsao, Alex Hall, and Daniel Afanador.

For the men, two runners set personal bests with Outland running the 400 meter in 53.32 while Tsao finished the 800 meter at 2:07.55. Afanador ran the 200 meter in 23.46 and Adam Mayon rounded out the men’s events with a 5:00.83 in the 1500 meter.

In the women’s events, Alexandra Lain ran the 100 meter in 13.34 and the 200 meter in 27.16. Also in the 200, Sarah Tortorich finished in 26.75 while Jenna Knoblach ran the 400 meter in 1:07.4.
