LEESVILLE'S KEETON JOHNSON CROSSES THE LINE AFTER WINNING THE REGION 1-4A 1600m!

Below, you will find the finalists for MileSplit LA Boys' Performer Of The Week. Congratulations to all of the finalists for making the ballot. JAMES HOLLINGSWORTH (NORTHWOOD) - Mr. Hollingsworth had himself a day at the Region 1-4A Meet in Shreveport. First, he helps his Northwood Falcons to a win in the 4x200. Then, he did it again with a strong let on Northwood's winning's 4x100 relay. But he wasn't done just yet. For his finale, Hollingsworth upset the defending 4A state champion in the 300m hurdles-Tioga's Maximus Kardrmas. To make this story even more spectacular, this is Hollingsworth's first year participating in track and field.

ANDERS MAITREJEAN (BROTHER MARTIN)- Maiterjean is the most improved 3200m runner in Louisiana. His season best of 9:46 is 1:14.81 faster than his best time in 2023.

LA KING TAYLOR (JOHN CURTIS) - Ran a state leading time of 47.56

KYZER DUNBAR (ST. AUGUSTINE)- We are going to go out on a limb and say that the Region 3-5A was one of the fastest 800m races in Louisiana High School History. Dunbar won with a state leading time of 1:52.95. The second place finisher is No. 25 on the all-time list in the MileSplit database.

KANE HILL (MANDEVILLE) - Won the the triple jump at the Region 2-5A Meet with the best jump in Louisiana this year-48-9.25.

KADEN ADAMS (CENTRAL LAFOURCHE) - Popped a huge personal record at the Region 3-5A Meet. 57-0.5. It's the farthest throw in Louisiana this year by over three feet. 

KEETON JOHNSON (LEESVILLE)- Won the Region 1-4A Meet in the 800 and 1600m. His 800m time leads LHSAA Class 4A.

ARMI'DRE EVANS (WESTGATE)- Evans has the fastest time in 4A in both the 110m hurdles (14.45) and 300m hurdles (38.32)

DEMOND TOBIN (ISTROUMA) - Jumped a season best of 6-8 in the high jump at the Region 2-5A Meet. But so did for MileSplit LA Performer Of The Week Landon Gibbs from Huntington. The two are tied at the top of the LHSAA Class 4A rankings. 

REED BOUDREAUX (PARKVIEW BAPTIST)- The junior ran a 1:57.58 in the 800m at the Region 2-3A Meet. It's the No.1 ranked time in the 3A this year.
