Loyola cross country results from USM Invitational

Hattiesburg, Miss.- Loyola’s Mary Erin Imwalle was the Wolfpack’s top finisher as the senior from Mobile placed 12th with a time of 22:14.50 in the 5k at the 27th Annual USM Invitational.

Rachel Leonard was the next competitor over the line for Loyola. The freshman placed 47th with a time of 25:32.70. Other finishers for the Wolfpack included Rebecca Reed 65th place (27:53.26), Margot Bienvenu 70th place (28:55.05), Kristen Francis 75th place (30:17.82).

Loyola women scored eighth place out of 12 teams in the team standings. Tulane had the top women’s team.

For the men, Sean Meleen led with a 35th place finish. He completed the four mile course in a time of 26:04.45. Daniel Pattillo was 44th with a time of 26:56.39. Other runners included Zach Custer 54th place with a time of 28:02.12, Tyler Kaufman 57th place (28:20.50), and Chris Tyree 59th place (28:49.92).

The Loyola men finished 11th out of 12 team in the meet.

Loyola returns to action on Saturday, September 15th at the Loyola/Xavier Invitational. The meet will be held on the Riverview behind Audubon Zoo at 9 a.m.
