2013 XC Rankings: Final Girl's Team Composite Patrick Gavin Nov 21, 2013

There were lots of upsets at the 2013 LHSAA State Championships!  One of the biggest has to be our 5A girl's predicitions.  We genuinely thought it was going to be a dog fight between Mandeville and St. Joseph Academy.  The outcome? Well, neither of these teams even made the podium.  It just goes to show, when it comes to Championship season, all bets are off.  When it comes down to it, all the previous rankings are irrevelant in comparison.  Our final rankings for the 2013 XC season are based off of what these teams did at the State Championships, when it really mattered. We went ahead and scored the teams out from first to last and this is what we came up with...

In the final composite poll leading into the state meet, St. Paul's remains at #1, Jesuit downs Curtis and Brother Martin in the hunt for the podium, and Benton joins the poll family.

St. Joseph gains a slight edge over Menard to recapture the top spot in this week's composite poll.  St. Thomas More moves up one spot, while most teams remain solid in their previous week's rankings. With the exception of St. Thomas More, who moves up one spot after their surpising defeat of last week's number 1 in Lafyette.

St. Paul's Boys and Menard girls hold onto the #1 spots this week.  With the state meet fast approaching, there are some heavy switch ups. Sacred Heart girls, previously unranked, find themselves 4th in the polls and Pochatoula boys also make their way into the 9th spot, previously unranked.
