- 1. (+1) SJA - St. Joseph reclaims top honors this week while gaining momentum for the Championship season. Defeating Mandeville in week 6, and continuing to drop time, State may tell a completely different tale, but for now they capture the top spot.
- 2. (-1) Menard- The late season race for number one has gotten significantly tighter over the last week. Menard drops to number 2 this week after their loss to LA#8, St. Thomas More. Despite being a runner down, a slight edge has to be give to SJA, especially after their oncoming late season push. The losses for teams this highly ranked can’t be overlooked.
- 3. (0) Mandeville- Consistently one of the top teams all year, switching off with the two teams ranked ahead. However, rumor has it one of their top girls is out with injury, but only time will tell after District and Northshore Metro.
- 4. (0) Sacred Heart NOLA - The fire that was lit under this team after last week, continues to burn bright. They destroyed their District meet and had 3 girls under 20 minutes.
- 5. (0)Mt. Carmel - A consistent top 10 team all year, MCA continues in consistency in remaining #5 this week.
- 6. (0) Parkway - They did well enough this year to stay ranked high, yet haven’t faced a lot of their southern counterparts. With the heavy hitting punch by Allison Ringle, it will be interesting to see how this team stacks up with the teams ranked ahead of them in the coming weeks.
- 7. (0) St. Scholastica - They continue to stay strong over the las few weeks and continue to stay in the top 10.
- 8. (+1) St. Thomas More - In a surprising turn of events, they defeated last week’s LA#1, on their home course, by a few points. While evaluating team averages, we aren’t sure who we would move down. There is no room for error at this point in the season. The Cougars taught a valuable lesson to the Eagles, one they will likely take with them as they prepare to travel to Nachitoches.
- 9. (-1) Dominican - They continue to slip in the rankings, as teams continue to improve. Will the defending 5A champions gather for a push in Nachitoches and surprise our panel?
- 10. (0) Epicopal - As a consistent top small school, they remain at top 10, with their team average and ability to knock off schools on the brink of making this list.
