LSU Twilight 2009

BATON ROUGE, La. – Luther Ambrose set a ULM record and missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 60-meter dash by just five hundredths of a second as the ULM track team competed at the LSU Twilight Friday evening at the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse.

Baton Rouge, La. – Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns track and field team competed in the Bayou Bengal Friday night at LSU. The Cajuns had 12 top ten finishes in the final meet before next week’s conference meet. UL’s Paula Parker highlighted the Cajuns performances with her second place finish in the one mile run. 

BATON ROUGE, La. - Three student-athletes tuned up for next week's C-USA championship at the LSU Twilight Friday, including Katarina Busljeta's near school record in the weight throw. Busljeta's heave of 15.48m was a personal best and only one centimeter shy of the Tulane all-time mark.

BATON ROUGE -- With an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the long jump at 25 feet, 3 ½ inches already under his belt entering Friday’s competition at the LSU Twilight Invitational, LSU senior Jeremy Hicks was well on his way to making his first career appearance in the event at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships to be held next month.
