Meet highlights from the 2014 LHSAA State Indoor Championships.
The Catholic-Baton Rouge and John Curtis boys successfully defended their indoor state championships, but not without their shares of early challenges. A late onslaught of points from first-place finishes by pole-vaulter Chadd Burns, high-jumper Chance Stephens and the 4x800-meter relay team ultimately won the Bears an eighth straight Division I title with 92 points compared to 33 by St. Paul's and Edna Karr, though.
All great track meets are decided by a blazing quarter-mile relay and the 2014 LHSAA State Indoor Track and Field Championship was no exception. Both the Division I and Division II girls’ team scores were decided by the meet’s final event, as Baton Rouge Magnet and Hamilton Christian won the respective titles.
