Track and Field Concludes Competition at NCAA Preliminary Round

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The ULM track and field team completed action in the NCAA Preliminary Round on Saturday (May 29). The Warhawks had just one student-athlete competing on Saturday, as sophomore Josh Howard competed in the triple jump.

Howard posted a leap of 14.87m (48-9 1/2) on his third, and final, attempt of the opening round, but it was not enough to advance him into the final round of jumps. Howard finished 38th overall in the competition.

ULM will return to action at the NCAA Championships as sophomore Luther Ambrose and junior Kyle Kent represent the Warhawks in Eugene, Ore., June 9-12. Ambrose will be entered in the 100-meter dash while Kent will compete in the javelin.
