POLL: MileSplit LA Girls Performer Of The Week!

MT. CARMEL'S STELLA JUNIUS (3) GETS READY FOR THE START OF THE 3200m

Here are this week's MileSplit LA Girls Performer of the Week finalist. The winner will move on to compete for Athlete of the Year honors. This poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. 

KA'LEYAH COLEMAN (THIBODAUX)-- The junior ran a wind-aided 11.98 in the 100m at the LHSAA State Outdoor Track & Field Championships. That time ranks No. 10 among all sprinters. 

AMAYA SHINE (ROSEPINE)-- The senior pulled the sprint double in Class 3A winning the 100m (12.20w) and 200m (24.5). Her time in the 200m ranked No.9 among all classes. 

T'AVION CLARK (RUSTON)-- Finished on the podium in the Class 5A girls 400m with a personal record time of 54.75. That time ranks No. 14 all-time in Louisiana and ranked No.3 among all classes over the three-day LHSAA State Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

EMMA ALDANA (WILLOW SCHOOL)--Pulled off the distance triple in the Class 4A girls division. She won the 800m (2:18.27), 1600m (5:03.94), and 3200m (11:12.42). Her thirty points allowed the Willow School to tie with West Feliciana as champions in the Class 4A girls division. 

CAMRYN HAIK (ST. THOMAS MORE)--The senior finished as the runner-up in both the 1600m (5:05.16)  and the 3200m (11:13) at the LHSAA Class 4A State Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She saved her best for last--both times were personal records. 

STELLA JUNIUS (MT. CARMEL)--The junior made two trips to the podium in the LHSAA Class 5A girls distance events. She finished third in both the 1600m (5:07.33) and 3200m (11:20.89). The 1600m time was a personal record. 

JOELLE ADEGBOYE (MANDEVILLE)--The senior ran a 14.54w to finish third in the LHSAA Class 5A girls 100m hurdles. That time ranked No. 4 among all girls over the three-day LHSAA State Outdoor Track & Field Championships. It was a personal record for Adegboye.

REESE TRAHAN (BARBE)-- After putting in four years of hard work, it was finally mission accomplished for Trahan who made her way to the top of the podium at the conclusion of the girls 300m hurdles. Her time of 42.46 was a personal record for Trahan. To make it even sweeter, Trahan ran a leg on Barbe's winning 4x400m relay which dominated the competition. The best part for Trahan was being able to climb back on the podium one more time at the conclusion of the meet as Barbe won the Class 5A girls state championship trophy.
