Warren Easton's Miles Torres is standing on business in 20226. Or should we say jumping?
Currently, the senior is ranked No. 3 in Louisiana. Only LCCP's William Plaster (22-7.75)and Destrehan's Damien Richard II
(22-6.5) have jumped further.
Torres is right behind the top two with a season best of 22-1.75. That mark is over a foot better than his best effort of 20-10 in 2025.
As you can see from the chart below, Torres is one of a handful of jumpers who have improved over a foot.
Plaster, the state's No. 1 ranked jumper, has made incredible strides...or jumps, rather...in 2026. He has improved just over three and a half feet.
Louisiana's most improved long jumper thus far in 2026 is Northshore's Ramon Williams, who is the only jumper in Louisiana to improve over four feet. Williams' best mark in 2026 is 21-2.
