La.'s Top 11 Athletes: No. 9 PB's Lucy Cramer

2025 was quite the year for Parkview Baptist's Lucy Cramer. She won five state championships. It all started during the indoor season where she won both the 1600m (5:11) and 3200m (11:17).

In that same meet, Cramer finished second in the 800m with a personal record 2:17.

As impressive as that performance was, it paled in comparison to what she did at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier earlier in the month of February when she had two personal record performances winning both the 1600m (4:57) and 3200m (10:45.46).

Not only was it personal records for Cramer, it was arguably the greatest performance ever turned in by a La. HS female distance runner. Her 1600m ranked No. 3 all-time in Louisiana history. Only Malia Cali (4:57.03) and Elise Brown (4:57.10) have run faster.

Cramer's 3200m ranked No. 2 all-time in Louisiana history behind Kaitlin Flattman's 10:45.01.

Cramer used the momentum from the indoor season and carried that same energy to outdoor where should pull off the distance triple at the 2025 LHSAA Class 3A State Outdoor Championships.

For good measure, her gold rush at Bernie Moore would include another gold medal for her leg on the 4x800.

The 2025 cross country season started strong for Cramer with a No. 13 finish at Nike South. That performance was followed by four consecutive in-state victories which started off with a personal record 5K time of 18:01 at the CHS Pete Boudreaux '59 Invitational.

Unfortunately, the unseasonably hot conditions at the 2025 LHSAA State Cross Country Championships took their toll on Cramer, who finished fourth with a time of 19:19-her slowest three-mile time since 2021.

Nationally, Cramer is ranked No. 38 in the nation among returning high school girls in the 1600 and ranked No. 48 in the 3200m. Those impressive rankings have her at No. 9 on our list of Louisiana high school top 11 athletes heading into the indoor season.
