Ever since she came on to the Louisiana track and field scene, West Feliciana alum Tristen Harris, who is competing for the University of South Carolina now, had an uncanny ability to make incredible performances seem effortless. At the LHSAA Class 4A State Championships, Harris did it one last time on the way MVP honors as she won the 100m (11.55), 200m (24.78) and long jump (19-5.75).
The outcome of those three events were never in doubt.
It was the icing on the cake of an incredible career which saw Harris become the first Louisiana female to ever break the 20-foot barrier in the long jump during her junior year when she soared to 21-2.25--the No. 1 all-time mark in Louisiana history.
