Track and Field Finishes up at UL/South Al Duel

The Ragin' Cajuns outdoor track and field men's and women's team finished second and third, respectively, in the UL/South Alabama Duel on Saturday afternoon in Mobile, Ala.

The men totaled 102 points, while the women garnered 26.5. Get the full results by clicking on the link at the top of the page.

The Cajuns dominated the men's shot put, taking all four top spots. Tyler Guidry picked up the first-place toss with a distance of 15.92.

Other top finishers for the Cajun men included Justin Jones, who finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.51; Louis Stevens who finished second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 58.45.

O'Daylon Thibeaux won the triple jump for the Cajuns with a distance of 15.79 meters.  Marc Malespin won the javelin toss with a distance o f61.10 meters.

On the women's side, Jasmine Manuel picked up a first-place win for the Cajuns in the long jump with a distance of 6.11 meters. Brittany Taylor finished second in the pole vault with a height of 3.20 meters. Alexis Green picked up three points for her second-place toss in the shot put of 11.40 meters.

The Cajuns return to action on Friday as they participate in the Texas Relays.
