It was another strong showing this past weekend for the Jesuit Blue Jays, who participated in the Great American Cross Country Festival in North Carolina. Brady Monahan, who has the No. 1 5K time in Louisiana this year, led the Blue Jays to a runner-up finish.
Jesuit's No. 2 runner was Joe Accardo (15:27), who ran a personal record and currently on the ballot for MileSplit LA Performer of the Week.
Jesuit has five of their top runners in Louisiana's Top 10 5K rankings. Besides Monahan and Accardo, the Blue Jays have David Quintana (No. 4; 15:29) and Connor Fanberg (No. 5; 15:30), and Andrew Nimmo (No. 9; 19:45).
Jesuit isn't the only team flexing its depth in these mid-season 5K rankings, Brother Martin, led by sophomore Carson Mills (No. 6;15:34) has five runners in the top 17.
