Stickers, Bearcats Pick up Team Wins at SJA

PARKVIEW'S LUCY CRAMER COMPETES IN THE SJA INVITATIONAL IN 2024

St. Joseph's, led by freshman Hannah Schneider, won their home meet on Saturday at Highland Road Park. The Stickers scored 73 points. Ruston, led by sophomore Eden Dawsey, was the runner-up with 109 points.

On the boys' side, it was Ruston picking up their second win of the season. The Bearcats, who were led by Al-Amin Wilson (15:39), scored 112 points, narrowly defeating Central Lafourche (119).

Parkview Baptist sisters Lucy Cramer and Molly Cramer went 1-2, a reverse finish from a year ago. Lucy Cramer won with a 17:27, it's the fastest time in Louisiana this year. 

Sophomore Molly Cramer (17:57), who ran the fastest three-mile time in Louisiana at the same meet a year ago with a 17:06, held off Metairie Park Country Day's Varenka Zhuk (17:58), who ran the No. 2 all-time fastest time last week at the LCA Knights Invitational.

Dutchtown's Shrey Shah won the boys' division with a time of 15:09. That time ranks No. 5 in Louisiana this year and No. 18 all-time for junior boys. 

Mandeville senior Brayden Berglund was the runner-up with a time of 15:18. Central Lafourche's Trey Detillier was third with a 15:21.
