Injury Leads to Shift in Focus for Parkway's Brennan Robin

BRENNAN ROBIN COMES THROUGH THE LINE AT THE FIRECRACKER 5K

Most of the time, injuries are looked at as a negative thing. While it was tough sitting out for all of the 2025 indoor season,  Parkway junior Brennan Robin, came out of the negative experience with a brand new outlook on training.

His transformation allowed him to take the lemons from the injury and make lemonade.

During that time, Robin changed his approach and focus of his training. He went from being obsessed with hitting miles, analyzing times, and checking off the boxes to listening to his body, having fun, not stressing out about a few miles missed here or there.

It paid off as Robin ran a 9:13 at the LHSAA State Outdoor Championships. The time ranks No. 4 on the All-Time sophomore list behind Brady Mullen (8:59), Michael Vocke (9:06), and Lucas Sampedro (9:11). Parkway head coach Kent Falting believes Robin's time is the fastest in North Louisiana history.
