Thunderstorms ushered in a 20-degree drop in temperatures and delayed the start of the meet by 20 minutes, but the hilly path at the Demon Hills Golf Course handled the rain well and times were quick in the nine-team meet.
ULL\'s men had all five scoring runners in the top 11 while the Lady Cajuns did their scoring in the top 13 places. The host Lady Demons ran second with four of their top five runners finishing in the top 11.
McNeese\'s Ruth Waller won the women\'s individual title, covering the 6,000-meter course in 22:33.2, while Moya Aden of Louisiana-Monroe was the men\'s champ with a 25:22.6 time over 8,000 meters. ULL runners took second in both races: Walter Whitfield in the men\'s event (25:34.2) and Analise Zaunbrecher (23:34.9) in the women\'s competition.
