They are the stars of tomorrow. Led by Lockport Middle School's Collin Griffin, here are the top 250 fastest middle school boys in Louisiana. Some names--like Hammond Eastside's Tairon Ponds--are familiar due to their performances in summer age group competition.
Griffin, who had competition stiff competition from Dakota Boudreaux when he had is season best time, posted his season best of 11.11 at the CLHS & Gold Middle School Invitational. Boudreaux, who is ranked No. 3 in Louisiana, finished with a 11.30.
Another Lockport Middle School sprinter to keep an eye on Zyren Jones, who is ranked No. 12 with a season best of 11.59.
One of the fastest middle school sprinters in North Louisiana is KJ Bell from Rayville Junior High. Bell posted his best time of the season, 11.41, at the OCS Middle School Relays.
