Catholic's
William Decuir has been on fire this season. There has been no sophomore slump for the Catholic Bear, who has shown one of the biggest improvements for milers who ran sub 5:00 a year ago. Even though he was a freshman, Decuir was in that group.
That was impressive enough, but the Decuir--under the direction of Catholic distance coach Zach Capello--has levelled up this season. His 4:16.92 at the Pete Boudreaux Invitational has given Decuir an improvement of 18 seconds from last year.
And he is not finished yet.
Other impressive improvements from Louisiana's elite includes Decuir's teammate
Peter Watson (25 seconds), West Ouachita's
Aaron May (25 seconds), Brother Martin's
William Lionnet (22 seconds), David Thibodaux's
Emerson Cullen (21 seconds), and Jesuit's
Patrick Fitzmorris (19 seconds).
