MT. CARMEL'S ANNA JOUBERT COMES THROUGH THE LINE ARE THE RUNNER-UP IN THE 800m AT CATHOLIC
Congratulations to Mt. Carmel's Anna Joubert and Teurlings Catholic's Channing Berard. They are this week's MileSplit LA Performer Of The Week. Both will now advance to the 2025 MileSplit LA Outdoor Athlete Of The Year poll at the end of the season.
Joubert won the MileSplit LA Girls' Performer Of The Week poll with 574 votes. St. Thomas More's Camryn Haik was the runner-up with 194 votes.
Berard won the MileSplit LA Boys Performer Of The Week poll with 100 votes. Alexandria's Carter Rivet was the runner-up with 56 votes.
Joubert is coming off a runner-up finish in the 800m at yesterday's Pete Boudreaux Invitational where she ran a 2:19.96. The time ranks No. 5 in Louisiana this year and just off her personal record (2:19.74) at E.D. White's Cardinal Relays.
Berard, a sophomore, is currently ranked No. 6 in Louisiana in the javelin with a season best of 179-8.
