We have our first ballot of the year for MileSplit LA Girls Indoor Performer of the Week. Congratulations to all of the finalists for their outstanding performances. The poll will close on Tuesday at 9pm.

ABIGAIL LEGER (TEURLINGS CATHOLIC)-- Opened her junior track and field season in impressive fashion with a huge personal record of 5:07 in the 1600m. It's the No. 5 all-time performance by a La. HS junior. She came back later in the meet and ran a 2:21 finishing second to Lafayette sophomore Riley Siner. Leger's 2:21 ranks No. 19 all-time indoors for La. HS juniors. For her efforts, Leger was awarded Outstanding Performer honors by the LSU T&F Officials Association.

NYLA RIGGINS (WALKER)--One of Louisiana's fastest sophomores edged out another as Riggins ran a 7.73 to squeeze past Liberty's Destiny Harrison in the finals of the girls 60m at the LSU High School Classic. The time ranks No. 10 all-time for La. HS sophomores and currently ranks No. 14 in the nation for sprinters in the Class of 2028.

JALEYIA WOODS (WOODLAWN-BR)-- A focused Woods ran a 57.12 on her way to winning the 400m. Woods, who ran the all-time No. 1 400m time as a sophomore last year, said "It feels like just the beginning." She wants to be the best not only in La., but in the nation. Her season opening time has her ranked No. 17 among all junior girls in the nation.

RILEY SINER (LAFAYETTE)--Siner, who is only a sophomore, edged out Leger in the 800m. Siner's time was 2:21. It ranks No. 22 in the nation among sophomore girls and all-time in Louisiana the time is ranked at No. 6.

NEVA LAMBERT (EPISCOPAL)-- Lambert won the 3200m with a time of 11:32. That is only two seconds off her personal record time she ran as a freshman.

SERENITY EARLY (ZACHARY)--Early cruised to a win in the girls 60m hurdles. Her time ranks No. 3 all-time for La. HS girls. Only Makeriah Harris and Demetria Harris have run faster. Currently, Early's time ranks No. 6 in the nation among sophomore girls.
