CATE WILLIAMSON COMPETES IN THE 800m AT THE LSU HS QUALIFIER

The ballot below contains the finalists for MileSplit LA Girls' Performer Of The Week. Congratulations to all of the finalists! The winner of the poll will move on to compete for MileSplit LA Girls' Indoor Athlete Of The Year at the end of the indoor season. This poll will close at 9pm on Saturday.

Cate Williamson (University Lab)-- The senior Cub won the 800m at the McNeese Indoor No. 2 with a time of 2:22.50. 

Jaycie Wallace (Airline)-- One of Louisiana's most improved female sprinters, Wallace continued to take her game to another level with a win in the 55m at the McNeese Indoor No. 2. Wallace's winning time was 7.31. 

Noelle Williams (Alexandria) The junior Trojan won the long jump at the McNeese Indoor No. 2 with a jump of 17-8.25.

Alexandria Stewart (St. Joseph's Baton Rouge) -- The Stickers leading lady in the sprints, Stewart turned in her first record-breaking performance in the 400m at the McNeese Indoor No. 2. Stewart's time was 56.59. The time ranks No. 3 in Louisiana this year behind two of the best to ever compete in the event-- Barbe's Kennedi Burks and St. Louis Catholic's Hannah Boullion. 

Abigail Leger (Teurlings Catholic) -- Leger finished third in the 1600m at the McNeese Indoor No. 2 with a time of 5:18.

Semaj Malveaux (Lake Charles College Prep) -- Malveaux, who has only had two practices this season due to her time with the LCCP girls basketball team, finished second in the high jump clearing 5-4, one inch off Emma Smith's winning mark of 5-5. 

Mackenzie Jones (Liberty Magnet)-- Jones finished third in the 400m with a time of 58.67. 

Cami Harrison (Menard)-- Harrison, who helped to lead Menard to an LHSAA State Indoor Championship a year ago, had a personal record in the pole vault of 11-0. Lafayette's Scarlett Petticrew won on fewer misses. Harrison also had a personal record in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.09, this came in the semifinal round. She finished sixth in the competition.
