The chart below takes a look at some of the girls were entered in the 60m at both LSU HS Classic in 2024 and 2025. The first column shows the sprinter's time in 2024. The second shows their time in Saturday's LSU HS Classic.
The final column calculates the difference. Lake Charles College Prep's Dashonta Scott showed the most improvement...almost half of a second. Her time of 8.52 on Saturday was .43 faster than her time in the same event a year ago. Other notable improvements were made between Vermillion Catholic's Marley Moore and Ponchatoula's Janiha Jefferson. Moore ran 8.41 on Saturday. That is .38 faster than her time in 2024. Jefferson recorded a time of 8.87, .35 faster than her performance in the same meet in 2024.
Of course, the fastest time in the nation belongs to West Feliciana's Tristen Harris, who ran a 7.47 to win the 60 at Saturday's LSU HS Classic. Her time was .08 faster than ...
