POLL: MileSplit LA Girls' Performer Of The Week!

DUTCHTOWN'S KEIRA MELAN COMPETES AT SATURDAY'S PETE BOUDREAUX '59 INVITATIONAL

It's time, once again, to vote for MileSplit LA Girls' Performer Of The Week. Congratulations to all of the finalists for making this week's ballot. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. The winner will move to make the ballot for MileSplit LA Girls' XC Runner Of The Year.

ALEXANDRA BROWN (CHRIST EPISCOPAL SCHOOL)-- The seventh grader finished third at STA's Bruce O'Krepki Memorial. It's her third top five finish in 2024. Brown's time was 20:49.

ALEXIS PITTS (ST. THOMAS AQUINAS)--Finished fifth at the Bruce O'Krepki Memorial with a time of 20:54. It's the highest finish of the year for Pitts, who helped STA win the team title. 

NEVA LAMBERT (EPISCOPAL)-- Lambert finished fifth at the Pete Boudreaux '59 Catholic Invitational with a time of 18:00. The time is a personal record for Lambert, who had two consecutive top six performances in as many weeks. 

HOPE LEMOINE (ST. JOSEPH'S BATON ROUGE)--Helped her team to another dominant performance at the Pete Boudreaux '59 Catholic Invitational. Lemoine's time of 18:46, which is a personal record, was good enough for fifteenth. 

KEIRA MELAN (DUTCHTOWN)--The sophomore from Dutchtown keeps dropping time. On Saturday, Melan had a season best time of 18:33, which was good enough for a top ten finish. It's the second year in a row Melan has found success at the Catholic Invitational. Last year, Melan ran a personal record 18:06.

ABIGAIL LEGER (TEURLINGS CATHOLIC)--Finished as the runner up at the SNL Invitational. Ran a personal record 5K time of 18:51. Helped her Teurlings Catholic team to a runner-up finish in the team race. 

MORGAN TAVARES (LAFAYETTE)--The freshman was Lafayette's No. 1 runner at the SNL Invitational helping Lafayette come away with the team title. Tavares' time of 19:59 was good enough for eighth place. It also ranks No. 3 in Louisiana among all freshmen.
