The last time MileSplit LA caught up with Parkview Baptist's senior Aiden Monistereafter his win at Nike South, he indicated that he wanted the Highland Road Park course record. After Saturday's win at St. Joseph's Invitational, Monistere can put a check mark on that box as his magical senior season continues.
Monistere, who was all alone for the last third of the of the race, ran a blistering 4:12.34, breaking the old Highland Road Park course record of 14:25.70 set by St. Paul's Eric Coston in 2017.
His time was almost a full minute faster than his closest competitor, Parkway sophomore Brennan Robin, who finished as the runner-up and led his Panther teammates to the team title.
Monistere celebrated by attending Parkview Baptist's homecoming with Eagle cross country teammate, Lucy Cramer.
