JESUIT'S BRADY MULLEN WILL LEAD THE BLUE JAYS INTO HIS FINAL SEASON

Jesuit's Brady Mullen has had one of the most prolific running careers in the history of the LHSAA. The Blue Jay, who has been the named Louisiana's Cross Country Gatorade Player of the Year for the past two years, heads into his final year of high school eligibility. Mullen will do so with a new coach--Nick Accardo, who moves up to head coach after serving as an assistant coach under Cullen Doody. 

Mullen's best three-mile time in 2023 came at the District 9-5A Championships where he won with a time of 14:46. That time is six seconds better than the No. 2 ranked senior Aiden Monistere, who had a personal record of 14:52 in a runner-up finish at the Catholic High Invitational. 

With three senior runners ranked in the Top 10, could this be the year that Jesuit's cross-town rivals--Brother Martin-- is able to dethrone the Blue Jays? Time will tell.
