BENTON'S ADDYSON HULETT COMES THROUGH THE LINE OF THE 400m AT THE REGION 1-5A MEET!
Benton's Addyson Hulett started the year off with a bang by breaking the Benton school record in the 400m at the Benton Tiger Relays. The following week, she broke it again. Her times continued to drop--especially during the championship season when she ran a personal record and season best 56.63 at the Region 1-5A Meet where she finished second to Barbe's Kennedi Burks.
Benton HC Clint Barnes calls Hulett the "toughest athlete" he has ever coached. That's saying something considering Barnes' many years coaching football at Benton.
The MileSplit LA community voted for Hulett to win the 2024 MileSplit LA Girls' Athlete of the Year. MileSplit LA editor Jerry Byrd caught up with Hulett to talk to her about her senior season and what the award meant to her.
