After completing Week No. 8 of the Louisiana high school track and field season, we have our finalists for the MileSplit LA Boys Performer Of The Week. Congratulations to all of the finalists. Micah Green (Rummel)--Green, who was one of the fastest 60 meter runners in Louisiana during the indoor season, survived District 9-5A and advanced in both the 100 meters and 200 meters. He ran a 10.54 in the 100 and had a personal record of 21.54 in the 200. Green had familiar foes in front of him in both events--his teammate Nasir Ceazer and Brother Martin's Easton Royal.
Amir Stokes (Slidell)--After finishing second in both the 100 meters and 200 meters in 2025, Stokes won both events last week. Stokes is peaking when it counts. He had ran a personal record in both the 100 meters (10.77) and 200 meters (21.37).
Jaivyn Washington (Prairieville)--Won both the 110 meter hurdles (14.41) and 300 meter hurdles (40.05) at the District 5-5A Championships.
Jason Friels (Carroll)-- Won both the 110 meter hurdles (15.71) and the 300 meter hurdles (41.56) at the District 1-3A Championships.
Kriston Johnson(Northwood)--Helped Northwood win their first district championship in over 15 years with his wins in the shot put (47-4) and discus (146-3) at the District 1-4A Championships. Both efforts were personal records for Johnson.
Brayden Carter (North Caddo)--Won junior won the 100 meters (11.08) and 200 meters (22.42) at the District 1-2A Championships.
