POLL: Vote On The MileSplit LA Boys' Performer Of The Week!


Here are the finalists for MileSplit LA Boys' Performer Of The Week. Congratulations to all of the finalists. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. The winner will move on to the ballot of the MileSplit LA Boys' Outdoor Athlete Of The Year. 

Landon Gibbs (Huntington)- Gibbs jumped 6-7 to win the Raider Relays on Thursday. It's a personal record for Gibbs, who moves to No. 6 in Louisiana. He is currently the No. 1 sophomore in Louisiana and tied for No. 5 sophomore in the nation. He has three inches to go before he reaches the Huntington HS school record, which was set by his father, Don, forty years ago. 

Tourean Campbell (Acadiana) - Campbell won the Strawberry Relays 400m with a time of 49.34. It gives Campbell a perfect 6-0 record for the 2024 outdoor season. 

 Lance Williams (Edna Karr)- Won the Bobby Nuss Invitational 200m with a time of 21.57. It's a season best for Williams, who has won three out of four 200m races this season. 

Kadrmas Maximus (Tioga)- Pulled a hurde double by winning boy the 110m hurdles (15.00) and the 300m hurdles (40.36). Maximus' time in the 1600m was a personal record. It's the third meet this season in which Maximus has been golden in the hurdle double. Other meets included the Trojan Relays and the Mansfield Wolverines Invitational. 

Keeton Johnson (Leesville)- Won the 800m (1:56.35) and 1600m (4:25.44) at the McNeese Cowboy Relays. Both times are season bests for Johnson. It is the fourth straight meet in which Johnson has won both events. This gives Johnson a perfect record of 8-0 for the 2024 season. 

Isaiah Kennedy (Woodlawn) - It was a good news-bad news week for senior who is starring in his third and final sport for the Knights. The good news is that Kennedy got a personal record of 22.04 in the 200m at the Raider Relays. The bad news is that Kennedy experienced his first loss of the season. 

Finn Galyean (Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy)- Like Maximus, Galyean pulled the hurdle double at the Pirate Relays and came up gold in both races. Galyean won the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.28. He came back in the 300m hurdles and won with a time of 40.36. Galyean has won gold in the hurdle double in five-straight meets. 

Noah Mooney (Brother Martin)- Won the Chubby Marks Invitational 3200m with a personal record of 9:21.49. That's a personal record time for Mooney. It was also Mooney first win of the 2024 outdoor season. 

Na'ryan Delone (Glen Oaks)- Won the 100m and the 200m at the LHSCA Meet of Champions. Delone's won the 100m with a time of 10.58. His time in the 200m was 21.34. Both times are personal records for Delone, who is coming off an indoor season in which he led Glen Oaks to the schools' first LHSAA State Indoor Championship.
