La. Sprinters Have Good Friday At Texas Relays!

SCOTLANDVILLE'S MAKERIAH HARRIS COMPETES AT TEXAS RELAYS IN 2022

Several Louisiana sprinters had a Good Friday at the Texas Relays and look forward to competing in the finals tomorrow. 

Warren Easton has two sprinters in the finals of the Division 1 100m. Senior Germain Smith-Mata is will be the No. 2 seed in the boys division when the finals take place on Saturday at 1:20pm. Smith-Mata qualified with a wind aided 10.23. Gilmer's Will Henderson is the No. 1 seed with a qualifying time of 10.15.

In the girls' division, Takeila Williams qualified with a time of 11.98. Williams will be the No. 5 seed going in to tomorrow's finals. Taylor Nunez from Universal City Randoph has the No. 1 seed with 11.50.

Scotlandville Magnet High School will be watching their "big 3"--seniors Makeriah Harris, Sade Gray, and Broderick Davis.

Davis and Harris will be the No. 3 seed in the Division 2 110m and 100m hurdles, respectively. Davis qualified with a time of 14.13. Harris' qualifying time was 13.71. 

Gray will be the No. 5 seed in the girls' Division 2 100m. She qualified with a time of 11.51. Aaliyah Johnson from Southwest Christian is the No. 1 seed with a time of 11.37.
