Andrew Beroset from Florida won the freshman boys mile with a time of 4:19.57.

In other events, East Feliciana's Herman Batiste finished fourth in the boys high jump with a mark of 6-8.75. Batiste takes home the hardware and yet another All-American distinction.

Another Louisiana relay team to keep an eye on today is the Parkway Panthers. Not only that, the Panthers are running in a national championship for the first time in school history.

South Baton Rouge Jaguars Emoiree Rogers was a runner-up in the middle school girls long jump competition. Rogers jumped 17-1.25. Brooklyn Johnson from Georgia won the competition with a leap of 17-3.25.

New Orleans' Metro Stars' Braedon Gautier finished sixth in the freshmen boys long jump with a mark of 20-2.5.
