POLL: MileSplit LA Boys Performer Of The Week

JESUIT'S BRADY MONAHAN COMPETES AT NIKE SOUTH EARLIER THIS SEASON

The Louisiana high school cross country season has come to an end, and with it our MileSplit LA Performer Of the The Week series. Below, you will find the final poll for MileSplit LA Boys Performer Of The Week. Congratulations to the finalists. The winner will advance to next week's MileSplit LA Boys' Runner Of The Year. This poll will close at 9pm on Saturday.

TYLER BLISSETT (HIGHLAND BAPTIST)-- Once again, Blissett found himself all in the Division 5 boys' division of the LHSAA State Cross Country Championships. Despite the hot conditions, Blissett ran a 15:45. It was Blissett's fourth consecutive LHSAA state cross country championship. He now owns the top three times in Division 5 at the LHSAA state championships.

TALAN SIEVERS (LAFAYETTE CHRISTIAN)-- Although he is just a junior, Talan Sievers has learned to manage the ebbs and flows of high school career. After winning the state title as a freshman in dramatic fashion, Sievers was visibly upset after his performance at the LHSAA State Cross Country Championships last year. Well, Sievers is back on top after taking the Division 4 state title with a time of 15:30, beating his own record (15:40) set two years ago when he was a freshman.

ANDREW WATTS (PARKVIEW BAPTIST)-- When the junior walked up to the starting line at the LHSAA Division 3 State Cross Country Championships, he knew he would be near the top, but winning the LHSAA State Cross Country Championships was the furthest thing from his mind. But dreams come true in Natchitoches and Watts' dream of winning a state title came true as he passed Episcopal's William Foster Lambert in the last 150 meters of the Division 3 race. Watts finished with a time of 15:55 to keep Parkview Baptist's streak of a state champion in tack. Iowa State's Aiden Monistere won Division 3 titles for Parkview Baptist in 2024 and 2023.

BARRETT RICHARD (DAVID THIBODAUX)-- Like Watts, Richard kept the state champion streak alive for David Thibodaux in Division 2. The only difference is that Jackson Jarrett was in attendance in Natchitoches and gave Richard a congratulatory hug after his performance. Richard won with a time of 15:38, breaking Jarrett's Division 2 record of 15:44.

BRADY MONAHAN (JESUIT)--After consecutive runner-up finishes to his teammate Brady Mullen, Monahan picked up his first cross country championship last week. He won the Division 1 race with a time of 14:59. He was the only runner in Louisiana to break 15:00. His teams ranks No. 6 all-time in LHSAA State Meet history and gives Jesuit the top nine performances in LHSAA history.
