Jackson Jarrett To Run Unattached

JACKSON JARRETT (MIDDLE) COMPETES IN THE LHSAA STATE XC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jackson Jarrett, who competed for David Thibodaux's STEM during the indoor season, reached out to MileSplit LA this weekend to let us know he will be competing unattached for the remainder of the outdoor season.

"I have been getting coached by runccg and it was working well for me, but my high school coaches said they didn't want me to be coached by them, and if I continued to be coached by them, I wouldn't be allowed to run for David Thibodaux anymore, so I chose to continue what was working best for me." Jarrett sent MileSplit LA in a message. "I just want to clarify that there is no bad blood, I just wanted to continue what was working best for me."

Jarrett was was the LHSAA Division II cross country champion with a time of 15:49.20. At the LHSAA State Indoor Championships, Jarrett finished sixth in the 1600m (4:30.15) and seventh in the 3200m (9:57).

In December, former Ruston Bearcat Taylor Roller did the same thing. At the time, runccg was not mentioned, but MileSplit LA has learned that in fact Roller-and his brother, Tyler, are being coached by runccg.

There are several other runners across the state who are being coached by runccg, but continue to compete for their high school team in LHSAA competition. Just of few of these runners include Parkview Baptist's Aiden Monistere, Reed Boudreaux, Kohl Feucht, Lucy Cramer, and Molly Cramer and Baton Rouge's Natalie Venkataraman

Runccg was founded in 2019-2020 by Timothy Goldsack and Christopher Catton. That year runccg had three runners to qualify for the Olympic Trials and 23 athletes to sign college scholarships.
