POLL: Vote On The MileSplit LA Boys' Performer of the Week!

MANDEVILLE'S KANE HILL COMPETES IN THE LSU HS QUALIFIER!

We are on to Week No. 3 with our MileSplit LA Boys' Performer of the Week Poll. Last week, Glen Oaks' Na'ryan Delone with over 50% of the vote. He will join Parkway's Brennan Robin on our end-of-the-year MileSplit LA Boys' Indoor Athlete of the Year ballot. The finalist who wins this week's poll will join Delone and Robin. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm.

Zachary's Vederek Matthews - Won the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.95. It's the US#12 time and a personal record for Matthews, who won the Track MVP Award at the LSU High School Qualifier. 

Catholic's Matthew Maynard -Led the Catholic Bear 4x800 and 4x400 relays to wins at the LSU HS Qualifier. He also won the 800m with a time of 2:02.37.

Destrehan's Phillip Wright III - Looked sharp in his season debut. Won the 60m with a time of 6.90. The time is #24 in the nation. It's No. 2 in Louisiana. Only Warren Easton's Germain Smith-Mata has run faster. 

Mandeville's Kane Hill - After finish No. 12 in the LSU High School Classic with a 42-1, Hill made a big jump in his second meet of the season. Hill won the triple jump at the LSU High School Qualifier with a jump of 45-5.25. That mark is No. 1 in the state and No. 38 in the nation. 

East Ascension's Herman Batiste -Got his senior season off to a strong start in the high jump with a winning effort of 6-9 at the LSU High School Qualifier. The mark is No. 5 in the nation. 

Rummel's Nasir Ceazar - Ceazar was the fastest freshman in the state last year. This year, he has picked up where he left of and is the fastest sophomore in the state. He made the finals in the 60m. His time of 7.01 is a personal record and is No. 20 in the nation among all sophomores. 

Parkview Baptist's Reed Boudreaux - The junior finished second in the boys' 800m. His time of 2:02.57. It's a five second personal record for Boudreaux. 

Brother Martin's Michael Mooney - Finished second in the boys' 3200m with a time of 9:44.36. The time ranks No. 3 in Louisiana behind Parkview Baptist's Aiden Monistere (9:32) and Highland Baptist's Tyler Blissett (9:42).
