POLL: Vote on the MileSplit LA Boys Performer of the Week!

SATURDAY WAS JUST ANOTHER CLASSIC DAY AT THE BEACH FOR BRODERICK DAVIS

Here are the finalists for the MileSplit LA Boys Performer of the Week poll. Congratulations to all of the finalists who made the ballot. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. 

Scotlandville's Broderick Davis - The senior won both the 60m hurdles (7.80) and the long jump (23-7.25). His time in the 60m hurdles was both a fieldhouse composite and meet record.

Warren Easton's Germain Smith-Mata - In the fastest 60m in meet history, Smith-Mata Finished second in the boys 60m (6.78). His time is ranked No. 3 in the US. 

Parkview Baptist's Aiden Monistere - Made it a sweep for Parkview Baptist in the 3200m after Lucy Cramer won the 3200m with a meet record. Monistere's time of 9:32 was only five seconds off the meet record. Monistere had to go it alone as he separated from the lead pack early and was never challenged. 

Parkway's Brennan Robin - In the first indoor meet of his high school career, Robin looked the part as he won the 1600m with a time of 4:29. Robin continues his momentum from the cross country season where he had the fastest time of any freshman boy. 

Central Lafourche's Kaden Adams - The leading returner in the shot put got his season started on a strong note with a runner-up finish in the LSU High School Classic. Last year, Adams had a season-best of 48-9.75 at the LHSAA State Indoor Meet. Adams opened his senior year with a 49-10.50. 

John Curtis' King Taylor - Taylor owns the No. 4 time in the nation with his 48.31 on the banked track at The Galleria Games. While his time of 50.04 on LSU's flat track was not quite as fast, Taylor was still able to finish on the podium with a third place finish. 

ARCA's Lucas Owens - Is ranked No. 2 on the Louisiana high school returner's list in the pole vault. His season best in 2023 was 13-9. He opened his 2024 on Saturday with the same height, tying his personal record.
