CENTRAL LAFOURCHE'S KADEN ADAMS SPINS ACROSS THE RING AT THE '22 LSU HS CLASSIC
As we get ready for the first indoor meet of the year--the LSU High School--this Saturday, we continue to look at some of the top returning athletes from last year's indoor season.
Today, the focus is on the shot put.
Among the top ten returning boys in Louisiana, only two are juniors and the other eight are seniors. At the top of the rankings is Central Lafourche's Kaden Adams, who leads the list with his 48-9.75 from 2023 LHSAA State Indoor Meet.
Over the summer, Adams broke the 50-foot barrier on three different occasions and looks to capture his first state championship after finishing third indoors in 2023.
On the girls' side, there is another junior at the top of the returner rankings. East Ascension's Kiristen Mcgirt finished fourth at the 2023 LHSAA State Indoor Meet with a throw of 40-8.50. The mark leads the rankings for returners.
Like Adams, Mcgirt is seeking her first state championship in 2024.
