 COACH CHAD ODINET GETS HIS COUGARS FIRED UP BEFORE RACING AT STATE!
No girl in Louisiana made a bigger jump thanSt. Thomas More'sCamryn Haik, who theLHSAA D2 Girls' State Cross Country Championshipwith a time of 18:38. Her time was 2:26 faster than the 21:05 she posted at last year's state meet.
To add the icing on the cake, Haik led the Cougars to their first state championship since 2014. 
Haik wasn't the only Cougar in the rankings for Top 100 most improved at the state xc meet.
Amelia Cartis No. 5 on the list after improving over 2:00 from a year ago. On Monday, Cart finished with a time of 20:59. Last year, Cart's state meet time was 23:00. 
Others making the top five include Lafayette'sShelby Burgin(improvement of 2:05), David Thibodaux STEM'sAlivia Tassin(improvement of 2:04), and Iota'sJules Ronkartz(improvement of 2:02)
