BYRD'S JOHN PATRICK BARTLE IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPROVED RUNNERS IN LOUISIANA!
For Louisiana high school boys who ran 18:30 or faster during the first two weeks of the 2022, nobody in Louisiana has improved more than C.E.Byrd'sJohn Patrick Bartle. Bartle opened last year at Parkway's Border Dash with a 26th place finish (18:30). This year, Bartle kicked off his senior year at C.E. Byrd with a massive PR of 16:48 in the same meet. That's an improvement of 1:42 and the biggest jump for runners who ran 18:30 or faster.
Overall, Bartle's improvement ranks No. 13 in the state.
Catholic High's Ethan Pham owns the title of Louisiana's most improved runner after two weeks of the season. Looking at his MileSplit LA profile, it appears that Pham on ran in one race--the JV division of St. Michael's Bayou Boogie. In that race, Pham finished sixth with a time of 19:49.
