If speed kills, the Edna Karr Cougars were lethal in 2023. Exhibit A is the No.1 and No.2 200m sprinters in the state. Ra'hji Dennis had the fastest time in the state with a 21.09. Dennis, who recently committed play football at Ole Miss, best time came at the District 9-5A Meet. 

Dennis' teammate, Camren Hardy, had the second fastest time in the state. Hardy's 21.15 at the Destrehan Invitational was good enough for a first-place finish and a No. 2 ranking.

John Ehret's Armani Cargo had one of the best LHSAA state outdoor meets for sprinters in all classes. Cargo won the 100m and 200m. His 200m time of 21.15 ranks No. 3 in Louisiana. 

It will be the fun to watch these three go at during their senior year in 2024.
