POLL: Vote on MileSplit LA Girls' Performer of the Week!

MACY HATTAWAY (RIGHT) COMPETES IN THE 300m HURDLES AT THE REGION 1-5A MEET!

Here are the finalists for MileSplit Girls' Performer of the Week. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. The winner of this poll will move on to the ballot of MileSplit Athlete of the Month. Congratulations to all of the finalists--and good luck. Also, thank you to all who will be voting to determine the winner.

JORDAN ALLEN (GIBSLAND COLEMAN) - After making two podium appearances at the 2022 LHSAA Class C Outdoor State Meet as an eighth grader, Jordan Allen finally climbed to the top after earning her first state championship by winning this year's Class C 300m hurdles with a time of 51.71. She also finished third in the 100m hurdles (17.94).

BRAYLEE DEROUEN (LOREAUVILLE)- Derouen won the Class 2A girls javelin with a throw of 118-8. It was especially sweet for the freshman after she finished No.11 at her regional meet a year ago.

IVIE MASHIA (ST. CHARLES STRIDERS) - Won both the 200m (25.88) and the 400m (59.93) at the Louisiana State Games in Monroe on Saturday. Mashia finished fifth in the LHSAA Class 5A State Outdoor Meet in the 400m with a personal record 57.96.

A'SHYRIA BURNS (ALL CENLA ELITE) - Burns won three events in the 15-16 girls' division of the Louisiana State Games. Burns won the 100m (12.14), 100m hurdles (15.04), and the triple jump (35-7.25).

MACY HATTAWAY (WEST OUCHITA) - Know for her prowess in the 300m hurdles, where she finished third in the LHSAA Class 5A State Outdoor Meet, Hattaway got in some speed work this past weekend at the Louisiana State Games. She won the 15-16 girls' 200m with a personal record time of 26.11.

SHYANN MCCUMMINGS (LEESVILLE TRACK CLUB)- McCummings won the 15-16 girls' 800m (2:32.42). She also finished second in the 400m (1:03.13), and third in the 200m (27.34).

ELLA BLAKE (HIGHLAND BAPTIST)- Made history at the LHSAA State Outdoor Meet by being the first Highland Baptist runner to win a state title. Blake won the 3200m with a time of 12:36.06, a personal record by six seconds.

ANA ROBINSON (ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE)- Finished first in the 15-16 girls javelin at the Louisiana State Games on Saturday, but she is probably not happy with her distance of 104-4.75. Robinson has a personal best of 127-6, which ranks as the No. 6 throw in the nation for freshmen girls.
