Here are the finalists for the MileSplit LA Girls' Performer of the Week poll
KENNEDI BURKS (BARBE)- The sophomore Lady Buc ran the fastest 400m time--for now-- in Louisiana with a 57.20 on Friday night. She couldn't have picked a better venue- Barbe's Merchant Farmers Bank Relays.
A'SHYRIA BURNS (MENARD)- Won four gold medals in the Pineville Rebel Relays last week. The sophomore won gold medals in the 100m (12.31), 100m hurdles (15.46), long jump (17-11), and triple jump (35-4). She used that momentum to have another outstanding meet at the Trojan Relays, where she won the 100m hurdles (15.70) and finished second in the 100m, long jump, and triple jump.
JANAYAH DOTSON (BTW-SHREVEPORT) - The Lady Lion won first place in both the 100m (13.28) and 200m (27.11) at the Woodlawn Knights Relays Friday night.
ASYIA BLOUNT (HELEN COX)- Tbe senior from Helen Cox won both the 100m hurdles (16.41) and 300 hurdles (49.34) at the Henry Crosby Classic.
MAYLASIA REYNOLDS (UNION PARISH) - Won the triple jump (32-4) at the Van Leigh Relays. She also finished third in the long jump (14-6), and competed in the high jump for the first time in her career--finishing sixth with a jump of 4-4.
LILY GARRETT (RUSTON)- The Lady Bearcat, who will continue her career at the University of Tennesse this Fall, won the 1600m at the Van Leigh Relays with a time of 5:17. Only three other girls in the state (Emma Bourg, Lucy Cramer, Elise Brown) have run faster during the first two weeks of the outdoor season.
ANA ROBINSON (STERLINGTON) - After the first meet of her high school career, Robinson's 100-2 throw in the javelin at the Cedar Creek Meet was ranked No. 11 in the nation among all freshmen. She is currently No. 7 after improving to 105-1 and getting a win at the Van Leigh Relays. Robinson also won the shot put with a throw of 30-11.
