The Scotlandville Lady Hornets were living life in the fast lane during the 2023 La. high school indoor season, especially with having the two fastest girls in the state in juniors Makeriah Harris and Sade Gray. While Harris is at the top of these rankings with the fastest time in the state (7.56), her teammate won the one that counts last Saturday at the LHSAA State Indoor Championships.
Gray edged out Mandeville's Reese Johnson (7.62), Harris, and Huntington's Rondisia Williams (7.63)
While the top three sprinters are juniors, Williams is a senior. Three other seniors in the Top 10 include Zachary's Jaala Thymes (7.65), Jordyn Minor (7.68), who won the LHSAA Division II 60m state championship, and Northside's Quincy Simon (7.76).
Two of the fastest sophomore in the state state made the Top 10. The fastest is West Feliciana's Tristen Harris (7.69). Right behind Harris is Menard's A'shyria Burns (7.75).
