Louisiana's best distance runner, Zachary's Rhen Langley, celebrated Mardi Gras by waking up on Fat Tuesday and having a piece of King Cake. It was so good, Langley had two!
Who can blame him? It was a well-deserved "cheat day" after his incredible performance at the LHSAA State Indoor Championships where Langley tripled in the distance events--winning all of them His day started with a win in the 1600m (4:26.71). From there, Langley moved to the 800m where he set a new personal record--and a meet record--with a 1:54.36. For his final act of the night, Langley won the 3200m 9:30.47 by four seconds.
