POLL: Who will be the '22 Boys' D-III State XC Champion?

EPISCOPAL'S CLANEY DUPLECHIN TALKS ABOUT D-III REGION 2 SWEEP!

Episcopal's Sacha Dernoncourt is the only runner in the Division III rankings who has been under 16:00 in every race this season. University Lab's Blayton Bernard could say that until last week's D-III Region 2 Meet, where he finished third with a time of 16:05.

Just ahead of Bernard at the regionals was his teammate-- the defending Class 3A state champion from a year ago, John Hall Hays.

Yet another runner to keep an eye in Division III is Parkview Baptist's Kohl Feucht. Feucht leads a team that knows how to get the job done in Natchitoches as they are the defending Class 3A state champions.

Just for good measure. We are going to add another runner from Region 2--St. Michael's William Nizzo.  We know the senior finished sixth at regionals, but he has been a model of consistency all year.

Can you tell that we love the talent in Region 2?

If your looking for a runner outside of Region 2 to slip in and steal some hardware, look no further than Loyola's Franklin Roemer. Roemer has made leaps and bound from last year's state meet when he was just starting to figure things out. Roemer, who won the D-III Region I title and led his Flyer team to the regional championship, has a best time this season of 15:53.

Coming out of Region 3, keep an eye on E.D. White's Owen Tauzin.  While he didn't have the best performance at regionals--a fourth place 17:10 performance, he is going to give it everything he has in his last state meet in Natchitoches.

Vote on the runner you think will win. The poll will close at 8pm on Sunday.
