HOLY CROSS' KROSSE JOHNSON SPRINTS TO A LHSAA 200m STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WITH 21.07

     There is no doubt the best 200m race in the state of Louisiana was the LHSAA Class 5A State Championship race. Holy Cross' Krosse Johnson won with a season-best 21.07, good enough for No. 2 on our list. 

      Two other sprinters had season best performances in the race. Woodlawn's Jordan Matthews finished second in the race with a 21.29, which puts him at No. 4 for season. His teammate, J'Marcus Sewell finished third at state with a 21.38, and No. 5 ranking for season. 

       Other sprinters in the top five include Edna Karr's Ra'hji Dennis at No. 1 with a 20.89 at the Region 3-4A Meet, E.D. White's Chris Gravois with a 21.27.

      Of the top five sprinters, all will return in 2023 with the exception of Gravois.

      The back half of the Top 10 are littered with four sprinters from North Louisiana, starting with Captain Shreve' Marquez Stevenson (21.51). His opponents received ...
