THREE OF THE TOP TEN 100m SPRINTERS IN THE STATE BATTLE IT OUT AT STATE!

     Despite what these rankings say, let's be real. The two fastest females in the state of Louisiana in 2022 were Dutchtown's Ariane Linton and Scotlandville's Sade Gray. While Gray had the faster time-- a wind aided 11.74, Linton beat Gray to claim the 2022 LHSAA State Outdoor title. Linton did not lose a 100 meter race. In fact, you would have to go back to her freshman year when she finished third in the state meet to find a 100m race on Louisiana soil that she did not win.

     Linton is headed to Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas, where she will continue her career. Gray, only a sophomore, will take over the reigns as Louisiana's fastest high school female. 

     Her biggest competition will come from Southwood's Rondisia Williams, who made a statement at the LHSAA State Outdoor Meet by making the making the podium in both the 100m and 200m.
