THROWS
JACKSON RIMES
Jackson Rimes of Catholic High is easily one of the best javelin throwers in the nation. Rimes boasts an impressive 208-8 in this event which ranks him at #2 in the nation. He has been incredibly consistent throughout the season with the majority of throws finishing between 190 and 200 feet. Rimes has committed to throwing for Louisiana State University (LSU).
JERRELL BOYKINS
Jerrell Boykins of East Ascension dominates in two events, the shot put and the discus throw. Boykin's best event is the discus throw which is marked at 173-1. This mark grants Boykins to the top 80 in the nation. Boykins also competes in the shot put which ranks him in the top 120 in the nation with a mark of 55-6.5. Boykins has committed to Louisiana Tech.
SETH PAGART
Seth Pagart of Mandeville does well for himself in the shotput and discus throw. The shot put is Pagart's best event as he lands a mark of 57-5.5 feet. This throw lands him in the top 65 in the nation for the event. Although he performs well in the shot, Seth also excels at the discus throw with a mark of 152-2. Pagart has not committed to throwing for a university.
OLIVER JACK
Oliver Jack of Episcopal is a small school talent that possesses great talent in the shot put and discus throw. In the shot put, he puts up a 56-5.75 foot mark which places him near the top 100 in the nation. Jack also makes an impressive launch of 153-6 in the discus throw. Jack has committed to the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.
JOHN O'CONOR
John O'Conor is another prominent javelin thrower in the state. His personal best in this event is 203-5, another top of the nation throw that ranks at #5. O'Connor has committed to throwing for McNeese State University.
