DYLLON NIMMERS

Dyllon Nimmers of Ruston has been an all-around distance athlete; putting up fast times from 800m, 1600m, and 3200m. Nimmers currently holds the top 800m time in the state at 1:54.9. This time eclipses the next ranked time in the state by almost two seconds. Nimmers also shows his strength in the 1600m by being one of six runners to break the 4:20 barrier this year with a time of 4:19. The 3200m is also one of Dyllon's best events as he clocked a 9:33. Nimmers was also named the Gatorade Louisiana Boys Cross Country Player of the year this past season. Nimmers has committed to Louisiana State University (LSU) to compete in cross country and track and field.


LOUDEN BOUDREAUX

Louden Boudreaux of Belle Chasse holds some of the fastest times in the state when it comes to longer distances. Boudreaux has demonstrated his talent by running the fastest time in the state for the full two-mile in a blistering 9:14. Boudreaux also runs one of the fastest 1600m in the state with a 4:19 and compliments that performance with a 1:58 in the 800m. Prior to entering the 2021 outdoor track championships, Louden has accumulated five individual state titles. In addition to his historic success, Boudreaux has also chosen to continue his athletic career at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.


BRAEDON METHVIN

Braedon Methvin of E.D. White is another dominant figure in distance running. He holds one of the fastest times in the state for the 1600m with a 4:19 and follows up with a 9:36 3200m run. Braedon has been undefeated in the 1600m run this pre-championship season and has been quite competitive in his other events. Methvin is also able to step down to the 800m as he has run a time of 1:59. Methvin has chosen to compete at the collegiate level at Mississippi College.


REECE SHELBY

Reece Shelby of E.D. White is another strong distance contender. Shelby has displayed his speed this season by running a 1:58 coupled with a 4:21 for the 800m and 1600m run. Shelby is also a strong competitor when it comes to more endurance racing with a 9:46 in the 3200m run. Shelby will continue to compete for the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.


JACK WALLACE

Jack Wallace of Jesuit has displayed his ability on the track from 800m to 3200m. Wallace shows off his speed with a 1:58 800m and follows up with a 4:23 in the 1600m run. He continued to showcase his talent in 3200m with a 9:33 earlier this season. At this point, Wallace has not committed to run track and field for a university.
