ULM Men's Cross Country Finishes 21st at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree

 STILLWATER, Okla. - The ULM men's cross country team finished in 21st place on Saturday afternoon at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree on the OSU cross country course.

 

Moses Chelimo led the Warhawks with a 106th place finish and a time of 26:11.90. Andrew Opata placed 170th with a time of 27:12.00 and Hunter Russell ran in 27:32.50 to take the 188th spot.

 

Also for the Warhawks, Jorel Torres placed 196th (27:38.90), Kendall Robbins finished in 200th (27:41.50), and Britt Koestler came in 212th (27:59.90).

 

Northern Arizona took the top team honors with 52 points and an average time of 24:11.66. William & Mary took runner-up honors (59 points) out of the 25 teams that participated.

 

Jordan Chipangama (Northern Arizona) claimed individual honors with a time of 23:44.70, while Brian Medigovich (Adams State) was runner-up with a time of 23:51.70.

 

The Warhawk men next hit the trail on Oct. 17 at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival before they compete at the Sun Belt Championships on Oct. 31 in Monroe, La.
