In the men’s 5,000 meter meet, Loyola scored 150 points to finish fifth out of seven teams. The Wolfpack finished ahead of GCAC foes Mobile (183 points) and Dillard (204 points). Spring Hill was fourth with 105 points.
Kieran Harper was the top performer for the Wolfpack. He finished 26th with a time of 19:29. Parker Carignan was next across the line for Loyola in a time of 20:08 in 31st. Other competitors for the Wolfpack included Alex Mayon in 34th in a time of 20:33, Alex Hall in 38th with a time of 21:04, Kenny Tsao in 40th with a time of 21:36, Adam Mayon in 42nd in a time of 21:49, and Chris Graugnard 46th with a time of 22:45. Adam Mayon and Hall each had personal bests.
In the women’s race, Hannah Dougherty led the Wolfpack with a 16th finish. He completed the 5,000 meter course in a time of 22:05. Lauren Fereday was 30th in a time 24:16 and Clare Hearns was not far behind in 32nd place in a time of 24:24. Other runners included Annelise Rickert 34th in a time of 24:29, Jenna Knoblach 36th in a time of 24:58, Olivia Taylor 28:44 in 42nd place, and Joilynn Hollies 43rd in a time of 28:50. Hearns, Rickert, and Knoblach scored personal bests.
Loyola was sixth out of six teams with 144 points. GCAC rival Spring Hill was fifth with 131 points.
The Wolfpack returns to action on Saturday, September 26th at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge.
